The 1994 Ford Mustang would become the 3rd to pace the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was powered by a new version of Ford's High Output 5.0 Liter V8 rated at 240 horsepower. 1,000 of these cars were produced, all convertibles in red with tan interior. We are proud to introduced # 488.

This well documented example is complete with original window sticker, decal box, and an album full of information, the SVT registry page, and much more. The car was sold new at Leif Johnson Ford Inc in Austin, Texas.

1994 would also be the debut year of a brand new Mustang bodystyle, replacing the long running Fox body design.

The exterior presents a high quality Rio Red base/clearcoat finish. Although this is a low mileage example, it was recently professionally painted to eliminate any imperfections, door scratches primarily. It is an always garaged example and never wrecked.

 

Open the doors to this classic Pace Car convertible. The interior features factory-optioned saddle tan leather with Pace Car accents. The plaque is in place on the console, confirming this to be car #488 out of 1000.

The upholstery shows some wear, but is in very good condition. Factory instrumentation and equipment is functional throughout.

Under the hood is the factory optioned Cobra HO V8. This powerplant is rated at 240 horsepower and paired with the 5-Speed Manual Transmission. The engine compartment is in excellent condition, showcasing factory decals and parts throughout.

The undercarriage is a further testament to this Mustang's low mileage condition. The suspension and underbody is excellent. This car is always garaged and it certainly shows.
