The LeSabre T-type featured B-pillar badging and quarter panel badging displaying T-type. There were few distinguishing marks. The T-type designation was used by Buick throughout the 1980s as a performance package. The LeSabre T-type was not the fire-breathing turbo-charged Grand National, it was none-the-less a sporty addition to the Buick T-type line and a unique collector car today.

The front and rear air dams hint at the increased sportiness over the base Lesabre.

The interior features optional black leather upholstery. These cars came standard with cloth, even the expensive T-types. The T-type Lesabres came standard with bucket seating and a center console with shift lever.

The leather-wrapped tri-spoke steering wheel is unique to the 1989 models.

The gauges and instruments are functional throughout this beautiful Buick. The Delco Concert Sound II Stereo system sounds crisp and the cassette deck plays.

This unique-opening hood seems to belong on a Dodge Viper or Jaguar XKE. The doors, hood, and trunk lid open and close correctly.

Under the hood is the smooth running and well-maintained 3800 series V6 engine. 1989 would be the most powerful of the LeSabre T-types with 165 horsepower & 200 ft-lbs of toque. This robust V6 was paired with a performance rear axle ratio of 2.97:1 for quicker acceleration than standard V6-powered Buicks. Car and Driver magazine noted the drivetrain as "pleasant and perky" . The engine compartment itself is clean and detailed throughout.

The undercarriage displays evidence of this LeSabre's always garaged lifestyle. The underbody is in excellent condition. Front and rear sway bars greatly improved handling on the T-type package Lesabres. The T-types suspension was the most aggressive offered in Buick's H-body.

The trunk is clean and detailed original, complete with the spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment.
