Fly Low in America's Sportscar, or Fly High at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum. As always, we would like to thank them for allowing us to photograph our cars there. It is a must visit. The exterior displays quality paint throughout. The body panels align correctly. The finish shows very well. The graphics are all in place. Originally, GM only planned to produce 300 of these to commemorate the first 300 Corvettes produced, although a total of 6502 made it to dealer showrooms.
The M1131 blue-tinted glass T-tops are the most desirable ones of the era. Open the doors to 1978. This interior is excellent and original. The silver leather interior is intact, clean and detailed throughout. The "clamshell" Corvette bucket seating is comfortable. The dash pad is clean and straight, with no cracks. The gauges are original and all functional, yes, even the clock works.
Under the hood is the #'s matching original L-82 4bbl. V8. This top-optioned 350 cubic inch smallblock V8 is factory rated at 220 horsepower. The engine compartment is original and displays correct components throughout, down to the functional cowl induction breather & tubing. This special Corvette can be shown and driven. It will do well at any classic car show and especially a Corvette show.
The door panels are in great shape, clean and detailed. The power locks and windows work as they should. The door undersides are excellent. The original trim identification plate and factory decals are in place as is the VIN plate. The rear storage compartments and carpeting is clean and detailed throughout. The underbody features original components, flooring, and framework throughout. This is a dry climate, garage kept example and it shows.
