This is 1 of 1,949 LT-1 equipped Corvettes produced in 1971.

A two-owner car, this example was purchased new from Winchester Chevrolet in Winchester, Virginia. It was Bridgehampton Blue with blue interior. During the first owner's tenure, the car was repainted white. The 2nd owner acquired the car in 1990 with 69,000 miles on the odometer.

Today, this classic Corvette LT-1 is proudly on display in Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom.

Under the hood is the classic high performance LT-1 smallblock V8. Introduced in 1970, the LT-1 gained fast notoriety with its 370 horsepower solid lifter, performance cam equipped V8. 1971 brought low lead fuel and lower compressions. With 9.0:1 compression, this engine is factory rated at 330 horsepower. This example's original engine has been fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor atop the factory aluminum intake. The cam has been replaced with a newer LT-1 cam, replaced solid lifters, bearings, oil pan, and general tune-up items. This powerplant is backed by the Muncie M-21 4-speed manual transmission. The original breather has also been replaced.

There were 5,095 LS5 454 big block Corvettes produced compared to only 1,949 LT1's made in 1971.

The exterior showcases an older re-paint in classic white. The body shows well. The fenders, doors, and hood align correctly.

The distinctive LT-1 hood remains in place along with the wiper door assembly.

Open the doors to 1971.

The factory blue vinyl interior is intact throughout, display clean vinyl bucket seating along with the original center console.

The fiber-optic indicator display is working as well. The transmission of choice, and only one available with the LT-1 option, is the Muncie 4-speed manual.

The dash displays the original speedometer and raised redline tachometer, both functional.

The door panels are clean and the door undersides are solid.

There is some damage shown above to the weather-strip mount area of the driver's side door.

Underneath the car, the flooring and original frame work is solid throughout. The shocks have been replaced in the past along with some suspension parts. This 'Vette has accumulated approximately 5,000 cruising miles since the early 1990s according the 2nd owner.

Classic egg-crate grill assemblies were featured on all Corvettes from 1970 until 1972.

The windshield pillars are solid. The factory vin plate is in place on the pillar. The original trim identification plate is also in place on the door jamb.

The classic T-top roof panels are clean and detailed, easily removed and fastened into place.

This is your opportunity to own a driver quality LT-1 Corvette ready to enjoy.

The paint shows well, with only minor imperfections.
