Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this classic 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible. This car received over $13,400 in restoration work from Blue Sky Classic cars in Budd Lake, New Jersey in 2008. Today, the car is on display in Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom. This is very nice example of a classic Mustang convertible, ready to own, drive and enjoy.
The exterior was originally Lime Gold metallic, refinished in brilliant red. The paint and body show well throughout with few imperfections. The body is very straight. The doors, hood, and trunk lid align well.
The Mustang showcased its first re-design for 1967. The car still rode on its 108-inch wheelbase, the body lengthed approximately 2-inches. The front suspension track was widened another 2 and 1/2 inches. The Mustang would now accommodate its first optional big-block V8. This example features the C-code 289 with increased performance.
The tail lights showcased an extensive re-design too, they were larger in stature. A custom exhaust system has been fitted with these quad chrome tips on each side.
The front end and grille enjoyed a muscular re-design as well. The 1967 Mustang was and is a hit with the public. There were over 400,000 Mustangs produced in 1967, with 38,751 standard interior convertibles produced.
1967 would be the last year the F-O-R-D block lettering would appear on the hood edge until 1974.
Under the hood, you'll find the strong 289 c.i. V8. This engine features induction courtesy of an Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor atop an Edelbrock aluminum Performer 289 intake manifold the engine compartment is clean and detailed, showcasing the thorough restoration work completed in 2008. The inner fenders, firewall, and core support are solid.
The original "buck tag" is in place on the inner fenders. The majority of these Mustangs are now missing this tag, lost over the years.
The undercarriage displays solid, undetailed flooring throughout. This is some surface rust on an otherwise nice undercarriage. The frame rails and flooring look to be in exceptional condition throughout.
Open the doors to 1967. The interior features restored factory upholstery throughout. This car has been changed to red on red. It was originally Lime Gold.

The classic Mustang steering wheel and gauges are paired with a custom padded & dual cupholder equipped center console.

The red crinkle vinyl upholstery shows well front to back as do the door panels and door undersides.
The factory AM radio is in place as well. It works.
The white convertible is power-operated and in excellent condition.
The trunk is clean and detailed throughout; compete with the factory steel spare & new whitewall radial along with the tool bag.
