Fly Low or Fly High, many of our photos of this classic American muscle car were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight, located just minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit the museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. The exterior displays quality paint and sheet metal throughout. This car was gone through in 2011, with a base/clear coat red finish & black SS striping. The car was originally Maroon according to the trim identification plate. The paint is in excellent condition, very presentable throughout this Camaro.
This car is built to drive. The brakes consist of custom calipers with drilled & slotted front discs and full-face rear discs, power-assisted. The rolling stock is these BOSS 18-inch wheels fitted with NITTO Extreme ZR radials fitted with 275/40ZR18s out back and 235/40ZR18s up front. Open the doors to 1967. The interior is largely as it should be, with correct seating, center console, and factory gauges. The upholstery is in good condition front to back. The factory center console houses the HURST 4-speed shifter, paired with the Muncie 4-speed.
The dash is clean and detailed, complete with the factory gauges & a professionally installed Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo. A small aftermarket oil pressure and water temperature duo reside in front of the center console, under the dash. The door panels are clean and detailed. The door undersides are solid, but show a bit of surface rust in spots. The drive train was completed in 2013, with few miles logged. Under the steel cowl induction hood is a powerful 425+ horsepower engine.
The engine is a built Vortec 383 stroker, paired with a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. The extra power is transferred to a stout Ford 9-inch Rear end with 3.73 gearing, also installed with the engine and transmission. The new Votec Stroker motor was purchased in 2012. Induction is courtesy of an Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor atop a polished Pro Comp aluminum intake. Exhaust gases are expelled through Hooker Long Tube headers to a custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
Further inspection of the engine compartment will confirm clean and detailed factory sheet metal throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support. The original trim identification plate is in place. The undercarriage is in very good condition throughout. The rear end is custom 9-inch with traction-lok & 3.73 gearing. There is also a blow-proof bellhousing. The front suspension has been rebuilt. The rear end is accompanied with multi-leaf springs. The trunk is clean and detailed, finished out in the correct splatter paint. the inner quarters, fenders, rocker panels, etc. are solid.
