This tough as nails 1966 Toyota Land Cruiser features a number of modifications inside and out along with the solid original body & chassis. This is a 4-Wheel-Drive that you can use on road and off. Be sure to play our video presentation above. Look through our detailed photos and text. The exterior displays the original steel bodied '66 Land Cruiser with an older refinish of the original white. The sheetmetal is solid and straight throughout the body and flooring. There is a slight patina to the exterior of this Land Cruiser. The paint and body are in good shape. The bumpers are custom tubular front & back. The front end features brushguards along with a Ramsey winch & KC fog lamps. The back side has dual gas cans & a mounted spare tire/wheel with cover.
Under the hood is the updated 350 cubic inch GM V8 engine. This powerplant features a 4bbl carburetor atop an aluminum intake. It is very streetable and runs on pump gas. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts through the gears as it should. The engine compartment displays original metal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. A K&N breather is in place as well. Custom finned aluminum valve covers have also been installed along with the updated power brake booster (4-wheel-disc brakes). The interior features reupholstered seating front to back in gray vinyl. Air Conditioning has been integrated for a more pleasant driver's experience. There are seat belts front to back. The upholstery is in excellent condition. The rear roll bar is also in great shape. In the photo above, I had just lifted the seat for the picture, that is why the seat belt imprint is there.
The dash displays the original gauge cluster, glove box, and controls. The dash mounted button is the horn. Toyota's FJ40 has always been a formidable 4x4, especially with the increased power and torque of this swapped V8 engine and increased lift with 33-inch tires. All of the glass is also in good condition. The undercarriage is solid front to back as is the chassis. Check out the 4-wheel-disc brakes. The exhaust system is in good shape as is the frame.
