Many of our photos were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. These Lincolns are among the favorites ever designed, with their slab sides and suicide doors. The convertible is a shade of green. It also functions as it should. The top lowers down into place, exposing this true 4-door convertible at its best.
The interior features the original leather upholstery, showing its age, but intact. The original door identification plate is intact. The dash houses original instrumentation throughout. The upholstery is original front to back. The power driver's seat operates front to back and tilts, the other functions will need attention. The exterior displays the correct white finish. The paint and body are exceptional throughout. This is a dry climate car and it shows.
The brightwork is un-mistakable. The grille and bumpers are in good condition, there is some pitting and scratch/ding on the front bumper edge. There are a few amateur scratch touch-ups located on the passenger rear quarter panel. Under the hood is the factory 462 cubic inch V8 rated at 340 horsepower. The engine compartment itself displays original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support.
The undercarriage is a testament to the dry climate condition of this Lincoln. The flooring and framework is in outstanding original condition throughout. This car has been kept dry underneath and it shows. The trunk has lots of room and is also in good condition, displaying the original sheetmetal and inner quarters. This stance is courtesy of the factory 15-inch steel wheels wrapped in Michelin Whitewall Radial tires (235/75R15 x 4) Note the center and lower body trim surrounds this classic Lincoln.
The factory door panels are in very good condition and the door undersides are intact throughout, again a dry climate California example. The door undersides are solid. You can see much of the original weatherstrip is still intact as are the original weep holes.
