Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this beautiful award winning 1948 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet. These fine automobiles were produced in very limited numbers. 1948 would be the last production year for these amazing hand-crafted masterpieces. There were ony 452 Convertibles produced for the model year. 847 Continental Coupes were produced this year as well.

In 2003, this Lincoln was judged Senior Emeritus (1st) at the renowned Classic Car Club of America.

The exterior showcases a quality finish of Lincoln Royal Blue. The finish and body is in beautiful condition.

The brightwork is outstanding and correct throughout this amazing car.

The pre-war and post-war Continental's are very similar, the most striking difference being the grille design. 1948 would of course be the last year of this iconic automobile.

The 1st generation Continental was recognized by the Museum of Modern Art as one of eight automotive works of art. We must agree.

The interior features classic leather upholstery along with vintage brightwork and instruments. The interior is beautiful.

The power windows are functional as is the power convertible top. Distinctive plastics were used along with unique chromework throughout the Continental.

The steering wheel is unique to this model and in stunning condition. There is a certain patina to this classic Lincoln everywhere you look.

The convertible cabriolet soft top is in excellent condition, complete with a zippered rear window and convertible top boot.

The engine compartment is home to the 305 cubic inch V-12 engine. This powerplant is factory rated at 130 horsepower and paired with a smooth-shifting 3-speed manual transmission. The original identification plates are also in place.


We have an original service manual as well as the original owner's manual and copy, dealer brochure, radio installation / operation booklet, and more.

The undercarriage displays exceptionally solid flooring and framework throughout this dry climate Continental.

The attention to detail is great throughout this beautiful car.

The rear displays the original "Continental" spare.

The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with factory Ford tools and sewed edges along the carpeting. We have a special custom fitted car cover for this Lincoln as well.

The factory steel wheels feature polished Lincoln script wheel covers along with wide whitewall poly-bias tires.

The Lincoln Continental was the brainchild of Edsel Ford. On its introduction in 1940, it was touted as an exclusive hand-crafted automobile for the status-conscious consumer.
