Collection of Table Top Hardcover Books detailing the MG TC

We are proud to present this beautiful 1947 MG TC Midget Roadster. This car showcases a nut & bolt restoration after a lengthy storage. This extensive restoration has just over 70 miles logged,.and 1211 hours of labor logged by the owner. He kept track of every minute he spent on the restoration. From 1946 until 1950, only 10,000 were produced. This was considered very successful for the little post-war Roadster. Only a fraction of these were imported to the United States. It is unknown how many remain today. This example is in pristine condition, one of Moss Motors Limited' finest.  The picnic basket is very rare,  vintage, English, complete and the perfect compliment to the open air roadster MG TC. Just after the war, many people started importing these cars into the US, sparking a new era in open air motoring and better times.

These are extremely rare items, made in England. These came from the long time owner along with the MG.  We have photos detailing the restoration work. Here are a few photos of the work in progress. The chrome is just breathtaking. Many thousands have been spent on the chrome work alone. The gentleman in blue was the long-time previous owner of this TC. Here is the car after being rolled out of storage. Today, this MG is ready to show. It recently won best in class at a large show. Many, many tens of thousands of dollars have been invested along with hundreds of hours to get this car in the condition it is in.

The TC was available in one body style only, as an open-air 2-seater, very similar in appearance & mechanical to its predecessor, the TB. We have the fully restored set of side curtains as well. The photo below is the original curtains prior to reconditioning. The above photo is the current installed photo. We also have MG embroidered soft carrying cases for them. We have a collection of books pertaining to the MG that will be included with the car. Beautifully detailed, you can see the work that went into this TC anywhere you look.

The interior is elegant and simply beautiful. The dash is especially well done as is the leather upholstery. This is such a beautiful car. The instruments and controls are just excellent. The car was also re-wired throughout. This is a total restoration effort that was well executed. The engine compartment proudly displaying the little 1250cc. 4-cylinder engine. This powerplant produces 45 to 55 horsepower with its twin carburetors. The engine cowl panels open and close correctly. The chassis features powder-coated components that were media-blasted and properly prepared. The underbody is excellent, just as the rest of this car is.

The 19-inch wire wheels are the correct wheels for this car, fitted with 4.50 Dunlop tires all around. The temperature gauge is reminiscent of pre-war MGs. The luggage rack makes a perfect spot for the picnic basket. Of course, all glass and seals were replaced along with the braking system, lines, fasteners, etc. This car came out of storage in boxes. The photos of the restoration start to finish are quite thorough. This is your opportunity to own a collector quality 1947 MG TC Midget Roadster.
