235/70R15s & 185/70R14s This custom-built '39 Oldsmobile
runs down the road as smooth as
it looks. This is a great
cruiser with plenty of room and
gobs of power thanks to the 383
Chevy (est 350HP). The exterior displays a custom
peach and crème finish with a
vivid design break and hand pin
striping. The body was massaged
and prepared with several custom
touches. The front end features these
unique custom french headlights
along with a polished grille and
running lights behind. You are
probably saying it doesn't look
like an Oldsmobile front end,
that's because the builder
decided to give this great car
a unique look and used a Willys
hood and front fenders. It makes
for a really great look. The Suicide Doors are a blast.
The are also equipped with a
safety dead-bolt. The interior features creature
comforts such as leather & cloth
seating, a power operated
drivers seat, tilt steering
column, air conditioning, power
steering and more. Under the prominent hood is
the detailed and strong 383 c.i.
4bbl. V8. This powerplant
produced approximately 350
horsepower and moves this '39
Olds down the road with
authority. Be sure to play our
video/sound clip at the
beginning of our presentation. The engine compartment is clean
and detailed, showcasing custom
finished firewall, inner fender,
and core support steel. Hand
Painted '39 Oldsmobile letters
also grace the engine bay. The engine itself features
polished aluminum and billet
components throughout. The
pullies are polished aluminum as
are the brackets for the power
steering and air conditioning.
The valve covers and breather
are also polished billet.
Cooling duties are taken care of
by an aluminum radiator. This is
a classy engine compartment. The original trim
identification plate is in
place. The undercarriage consists of
Monte Carlo chassis refinements.
Front disc brakes have been
fitted as well. This car handles
well. The flooring is solid and
there have been two floorboard
patches that are also
photographed above. The door undersides are solid
throughout. The trunk is operated via a
hidden latch. Safety First, this Olds is
equipped with a small fire
extinguisher as well as a spare
tire/wheel. This is a Hot Rod Power Tour
participant. Make no mistake, this is a GREAT
cruiser classic !
